Municipal and Highway Snow Plow Wings and Wing Systems

TERA Heavy Duty Trip Edge Wing

Features

  • Available in left-hand and right-hand configurations
  • 1141 TERA 11’ overall length, 10’ edge, 29” intake, 41” discharge
  • 1241 TERA 12’ overall length, 11’ edge, 29” intake, 42” discharge
  • 7 gauge steel moldboard skin
  • Optimized 15° attack angle
  • Heavy duty 3/4” lower backer angle
  • Less dumped snow following trip activation than with full trip moldboards.
  • Greater strength. All wings use 7-gauge steel for standard moldboard material.
  • More vertical ribs than other competitors.
  • In addition to vertical ribs, all wings have two rows of intermediate horizontal ribs from flat bar stock.
  • Two fixed locations to mount the wing braces to the moldboard.
  • Reinforced nose plate.
  • Two 1-5/16” diameter (located in nose plate) front tower mounting locations.
  • There is a wing brace-mounting bracket with several mounting holes located in between the two last vertical ribs (discharge end) to allow the bracket to be adjustable.
  • Only the cutting edge (rather than the entire moldboard) trips upon impact with surface obstructions. Because the cutting edge represents far less mass than an entire moldboard, the resultant trip forces, at the plow drive frame and hitch and at the truck itself, are reduced; as compared to plows with full moldboard trip. No backing up to reset moldboard!
  • Less dumped snow following trip activation than with full trip moldboards.
