I am the Highway Superintendent for Ghent, NY and the President of the Highway Superintendents Association for Columbia County. Heavy equipment is my life. I have been involved with heavy equipment for 28 years from operating to turning wrenches to building custom trucks to now operating a Highway Department, with over 80 pieces of equipment that I use to maintain 142 lane miles of highway. I find the most important thing in helping me to run an effective and efficient operation is your equipment.
I have been dealing with Everest for 13 years now. I depend on my Everest Equipment daily and as my old equipment needs to be upgraded I will be replacing it with new Everest Equipment. I value and look forward to my ongoing working relationship with the Everest Equipment.

In my line of work you need equipment you can count on, you just can’t afford downtime. High quality, efficient, well constructed, user friendly, durable, versatile and most of all reliable. You might think I am talking all about the product but I am not. While the products are all of the above I am also referring to the Company as well. In order to have a good product you must be willing to listen to the customer who uses that product. I use Everest Products for all of these reasons.
I was honored to be invited to visit Everest factory in Ayer’s Cliff, Canada in the fall of 2019. Not to just tour the factory but to sit with the entire Sales Department, Vice President and their Engineering team. It’s not every day someone is asked to sit down with the head people of any company to discuss how they can make their products better for the end user. It was a very informational meeting for all involved, with many new suggestions and ideas that would be beneficial to both the end user and the company.
These bodies are much more versatile than the hopper/dump body system we had in the past. We can use these trucks for other operations during the winter season with minimal effort and changeover.
Everest sat with our team and designed a body to meet our needs. They listened to our input and produced the product we wanted. They have been open to tweaks and changes along the way.
